Assistant Director, Governmental Relations

The Kentucky School Boards Association seeks applicants to assist the division director in planning and implementing the governmental relations and advocacy work of the association, including the supervision of governmental relations administrative support staff. Position requires a BA; working knowledge of the legislative process; three to five years of governmental relations and lobbying experience; a minimum of three years of supervisory management experience; and proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel and internet research.

Assistant Policy Director

Frankfort-based position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of public school district policies, procedures and other services for assigned districts. Position requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in education or related field (English major/minor preferred); minimum of three (3) years of classroom experience, administrative experience or experience in a related field. Individual must possess exceptional communication, interpersonal and writing skills; experience in planning, organizing and conducting quality presentations; and proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Access preferred). Individual must be a self-starter; have the ability to work under deadlines; and be highly organized and detail oriented. Work involves light travel.
