Leadership Awards for Principals
This award is presented to a high school principal who has exhibited excellent leadership qualities.

Each year one middle level and one high school principal are selected from Kentucky to compete for the national awards. Metlife and NASSP present state winners with an award at the annual Principal’s Institute and Awards Banquet held in Washington, DC. National Principals of the Year receive a $5,000 grant.
Assistant Principal of the Year Award Application (pdf)
Each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Department of Defense Education Activity will select an assistant principal to represent their state. From these state winners, three finalists are selected to become eligible for the National Assistant Principal of the Year award. The National Assistant Principal of the Year will receive an award of $5,000.
