Staff Opening

 
 

KLA/KyCLS Technical and Data Support Staff (part time)

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide data collection and time change coaching services to schools in the

School Administration Manager(SAM) Project.

- Provide technical assistance to the SAM Project, Instructional Leadership

Team Network, Principal Preparation Redesign and Teacher Leadership

Development projects.

- Plan, develop, and facilitate training for the Kentucky/Indiana Collaborative

Aspiring Principals Institute, Instructional Leadership Team Network, SAM

Project, and Teacher Leadership Initiative.

- Serve as a leadership coach for principals participating in the SAM Project,

KLA Cohesive Coaching Initiative, and School Leadership Support Team

Program.

- Serve as a resource to the KLA and KyCLS district members.

- Develop products related to the KLA programs and KyCLS projects.

- Serve on partnership and planning committees.

- Actively participate in KLA cadre and KyCLS project trainings and evaluation

teams

- Organizes, schedules, and coordinates KLA and KyCLS trainings, data

collection, meetings and events.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must have a minimum of three years school and/or district leadership experience.

- Must have technology skills in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.

- Must meet rater consistency/reliability standards set by KyCLS for SAM data collection.  (Training and testing will be provided and include the use of video observations of principal activities.)

 

Preferred Skills

- Experience in the use of the SAM data collection instrument: including the use of the recording form, confidentiality and recording practice activities.

- Experience in curriculum, instruction and assessment based on WIDE World knowledge of data analysis and teaching for understanding.

- Experience with implementation of learning centered schools instructional practices and instructional coaching protocols.

- Experience in implementing Kentucky’s Core Content and Program of Studies.

- Experience in working with low-performing schools.

- Experience in developing and implementing professional learning communities and instructional leadership teams.

- Experience in developing and implementing school improvement plans, leading restructuring efforts and strategies to close achievement gaps.

 

Employment:

Employment is on an ‘as needed’ basis per day.  Payment is $200 - $300/day plus travel expenses.
